DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS RESTRICTIONS, FOR THE SAFETY OF THE FAMILY AND OTHERS, THE GRAVESIDE SERVICE FOR STEPHEN MCQUINN AT ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL MAY 28, 2020 AT 2:00 P.M.
Stephen C. McQuinn passed away on Monday January 20, 2020 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Wallkill, NY. He was 72 years old. Son of the late Kenneth and Beatrice Leona Reid McQuinn, he was born in Massena, NY, on October 4, 1947.
Stephen proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965-1976 and again from 1980-1984. He was awarded two Purple Hearts for his service in Vietnam between 1971 and 1972. After his honorable discharge he became an auditor for the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY. He was a member of the Vietnam Helicopters Association and the Frontiersmen VFW post #7545 in Tonawanda, NY.
Survivors include his children: Christopher McQuinn of Syracuse, NY, Daniel Kramer and his wife Anadelys, of Tonawanda, NY, Michael McQuinn of El Centro, CA, Stephen Jones and his wife Heather, of Saegertown, PA, Michele Hampton and her husband Scott, of High Point, NC, Erin Garlock and her husband Jeff, of East Aurora, NY, and Maria Shelton and her husband John, of Saginaw, MI; his brother Reid McQuinn of Wilsboro, NY, and his grandchildren: Jatsia, Nicholas, Jacob, Stephen, Jessica, Alison, Quinn, Nicholas, Evan and Stefani.
A graveside service with Military Honors will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 18, 2020 at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

Lowell E. Potter
BOMBAY - Mr. Lowell E. Potter, 78, of 239 County Route 9, passed away Thursday morning, December 17, 2009 at Massena Memorial Hospital, where he had been admitted earlier in the day.
Lowell was born May 1, 1931 in Bombay, the son of Ernest A. and Florence McQuinn Potter. He graduated from Bombay High School in 1950. On October 7, 1961, he married Janet J. McCleave at the First Baptist Church, Massena, with Rev. Douglas H. Densmore, officiating.
He owned and operated a dairy farm for many years retiring from farming in 1981. After his retirement, he worked for P&C Foods and the St. Lawrence Center Arena. He was an active member of the Bombay United Methodist Church, where he was a former trustee and a member of the United Methodist Men?s Fellowship. He was also a member of the Grange. Lowell was also a volunteer for the Fort Covington Adult Center, where he visited shut-ins. He enjoyed fishing, antique cars and tractors and was an avid Yankees fan.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janet; 3 children, Warren A. and Caroline Potter, Sanfordville; James E. and Amy Potter, Homer; Jenifer and Shannon Locklear, Antioch, IL; 8 grandchildren, Carrie Anne, Julian, Michelle, Danielle, and Nicholas Potter, Erik, Evan, and Anna Locklear; and nieces and nephews.
Lowell was predeceased by a sister, Norma P. Bergeron on February 11, 2000.
Friends may call Sunday 2-4 at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 100 N. Main Street, Massena, where funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM with Rev. Donald Alexander, pastor of the Bombay United Methodist Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Hillside Rest Cemetery, Bombay.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bombay United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, c/o Rev. Donald Alexander, 36 Covington Street, Fort Covington, NY 12937.

The funeral for Norma P. Bergeron, 63, Helena- Bombay Road, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bombay United Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. Bergeron died at 7:40 a.m. Friday at her home.
Calling hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena.
Mrs. Bergeron was a music teacher at Salmon River Central School, Fort Covington, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of Bombay United Methodist Church, where she was church organist for more than 50 years, and a member of the United Methodist Women.
Born June 14, 1936, in Malone, the daughter of Ernest A. and Florence McQuinn Potter, she graduated from Bombay High School and New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, Mass. She did graduate work at Crane School of Music, Potsdam.
She married Robert A. Bergeron on Jan. 11, 1958, at Fitzwilliam, N.H.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Jon, Bombay; two daughters and a son-in-law, Beth Bergeron, East Aurora, and Florence and Ernest DeMaio, Salem, Mass.; a brother, Lowell Potter, Bombay, and a granddaughter.

She was survived by her husband, a son, Roger of Rochester; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Potter of Bombay, Mrs. Harold (Bernice) Mays of Rochester and Mrs. William (Mary) Faubert of South Bombay; two brothers, William McQuinn of Moira and Kenneth McQuinn of Russell; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Greece: Went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2009. Predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Berniece; his great-grandson, Mattox Mayes and his brother, Robert. Harold was born in Fleischmanns, NY, on September 3, 1919, to Melvin and Anna (DeRouchie) Mayes and married Berniece McQuinn on November 19, 1939, in Bombay, NY. He is survived by his sons, Lew (Sally) of Mendon, NY, and Tom (Polly) of Newton, NJ; his grandchildren, Preston (Traci) Mayes of WI, Tracy (Pete) Klimek of NJ, Tom Jr. (Marci) of TX and Cary (Meredith) of NC; 12 great-grandchildren, Kevin, Rachel, Aaron & Ethan Mayes of WI; Peter Jr., Victoria & Josh Klimek of NJ; Nathan, Garrett and Natalie Mayes of TX and Jett and Taigen Mayes of NC; his sister, Beatrice of FL; niece and nephews.
Harold served his country proudly in WWII in the Pacific Arena and worked at Alcoa in Massena, NY, until moving to Rochester in 1966 and then worked at Eastman Kodak until his retirement in 1984. Harold "Gramps" will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
His family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on MONDAY from 2-4, 7-9 PM, where his Funeral Services will be held TUESDAY at 11 AM. Interment Hillside Rest Cemetery, Bombay, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hillside Rest Cemetery Assoc., Current Upkeep in care of Bob Bergeron, 197 Trippany Rd,. Massena, NY 13662-3230.
